DESCRIPTION:
EPW - Unsigned French, verge fusee with concealed erotic scene, 51mm, gilt OF original case with superb polychrome enamel erotic scene revealed by opening case rear, white enamel dial with winding aperture at 2, KWKS (key not included with this lot), verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, s#33555 within case.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Started ticking when wound but stopping occasionally while handling needing a twist to restart, overhaul needed for this issue, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, gilt plate with some fine scratches and surface haze, regulator disk with a darkened spot, coqueret with oxide; dial with small light perimeter hl at 7; excellent hands; case shows medium wear, some scattered scratches, finish loss at center rear and to portions of bezel and pendant, case rear closing with very little (if any) "snap" and leaving a narrow gap to body along left side when closed, concealed polychrome enamel scene is fully intact and with vibrant color detail; tight bow; good domed glass crystal.
